Environmental policy

NORLYS cares about the environment and ensures safe working conditions for its employees and undertakes to make its human, physical and financial resources available for this purpose. These resources will be used to ensure that employees and subcontractors can work safely and legally, and to prevent pollution and protect the environment.

NORLYS operations are governed by numerous health and safety regulations, standards and procedures, as well as environmental protection, which regulate issues such as emissions to the atmosphere and water bodies, waste handling, including hazardous waste, transport of hazardous materials, chemical substance management and emergency plans. This systemic approach is implemented as part of a certified environmental management system in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14001:2015.

In addition, the NORLYS Board of Directors is committed to taking measures to minimise the environmental impact of NORLYS' activities by establishing programmes and measurable environmental objectives with the assignment of appropriate responsibilities and resources.

NORLYS management focuses its environmental activities on the following aspects:

  • minimising energy consumption in relation to the revenue generated,
  • minimising emissions to air and water,
  • minimising the environmental impact of a product at all stages of its life cycle,
  • minimising the mass of waste generated in relation to the revenue generated,
  • minimising water consumption in technological processes,
  • promoting energy generation for technological processes from RES.
